Setting objectives and Creating your Agenda: (Questions to Ask)

Question:   What do I want to get out of this?

Example: For this meeting I’m looking to learn more about what this investor needs in order to approve a loan for my business and create a good relationship with the investor.

Question:   What are the outcomes I’m looking for?

Example: I leave with a gauge of his/her interest level and a list of items to complete and to send to investor for review before our next meeting.

Question:  What does success look like?

Example: A successful meeting with investor looks like: We had agenda set before we meet, we stay within agreed upon time parameters, we work through agenda items, leave with action items/responsible party and next meeting time set in schedule.
